If possible, you may want to try the firmware update on another system.* *Should the firmware update fail, please exit the firmware updater and run the firmware updater again. Please click the Flashing "!" Symbol in the bottom right of the Synapse screen to start the update. Windows should detect a new USB device & Synapse should detect the keyboard is in Boot loader mode. Reconnect the keyboard and then after 5 seconds release the Dynamic Key 5. (That would be the key on the second row furthest to the right on the Switchblade UI. Before clicking “Next”, unplug the keyboard and hold down Dynamic Key 5. Before I proceed further into the case, here is a troubleshooting step that you can try and see if it helps resolve the issue for you:Ģ. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Razer DeathStalker Ultimate. I did email Razer already and this is how they replied: This problem started when the dynamic keys were black and were not working correctly as I tried to fix that issue, but now I fear that the firmware update has effectively bricked my keyboard. Now nothing works on the keyboard, the keys are unresponsive and the lights don't light up. I tried reinstalling synapse 2.0 several times and tried applying the firmware update from the razer site, the first time i tried the firmware update i left it on over night and it was still on 0% by the morning (8 hours or so), so i closed it assuming it had crashed. My deathstalker ultimate isn't being detected at all, its appearing as an unknown usb device in device manager and when I try manually installing the drivers it recognises it as a razer bootloader device, but it can't update.
